lyrics
Anna's got my heart against the wall
Similar to every other Fall
I'm bent upon my knees
Petition my darling, please
Crucify my heart just for today
Darling, you look mused
Sympathy is self-abuse
You're giving all the give you've got to take
Anna's got her back against the wall
Similar to other rise and fall
She does it with a pen;
I'm begging her, do it again
Loving is just a word that people say
A way to long
We wait too long
A way to long
We wait too long to long
Wait too long to long
Wait too long to long

An interesting pre-Swan Wash document, Day Room foreshadows much of that band's sound (Anxiety can be seen again in Tavel's Gavel) but also holds its own very well, establishing itself as dark new wave and holding true to this throughout the album. Also, it's quite relaxing music! Porkandham
The gorgeous new single from this Belfast group has the bright, ringing guitars of C86 and the soft-focus vocals of shoegaze. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 15, 2022

Gloomy post-punk with a strong artistic identity. Excellent command of a somewhat minimalist musical approach based on a foundation of stomping drums, full-tone picked J-bass, and shimmering guitar lines. Scott's distinctive and expressive vocals are a highlight. M
